DENTAL SERVICES

Full mouth restoration is proof that growing older does not mean having to endure damage or embarrassment in your smile.

Full Mouth Restoration

FAMILY DENTISTRY

A healthy and fully functioning mouth requires a number of components: healthy gums, teeth, nerves, tissue and bone. The goal of our comprehensive exam process is to ensure that all of these components are working in total cooperation with one another. When they do not, common causes are missing or damaged teeth, jawbone and gum damage, worn-out dental work, periodontal disease, and TMJ dysfunction. Often, we are able to address these issues independently, but when multiple oral health issues exist, we may suggest a full mouth restoration.

A full mouth restoration requires a team approach, which may require the support of an orthodontist, a periodontist, or an oral surgeon. To decide on the appropriate treatments, Dr. Appel will involve the patient in a discussion, examination, x-rays and diagnostic models at an initial consultation appointment. At the second appointment, Dr. Appel will review his diagnosis and present treatment options, including financial information. Usually, treatment does not commence until the third visit.

A full mouth restoration is an effective way to reinstate a comfortable, functional bite. By following this disciplined approach, Dr. Appel has found it to be a rewarding, not daunting experience for his patients.
