Dr. Mike and his staff are excited to have you! We feel certain you will be made comfortable and confident in our care. Here’s what you can expect upon arriving to our office.

• Review health history – Dr. Mike needs to know where you’ve been to address where you want to go! We will review any dental notes, as well as overall health notes, from the past.
• Take digital images – In order to provide the most comprehensive diagnosis, we need to see what is under the surface! Preventative dentistry involves recognizing problems before they are visible to the naked eye.
• Prophylaxis – This is just a fancy word for teeth cleaning. We will thoroughly eliminate tartar build-up and bacteria. Prophylaxis is important for halting the progression of periodontal disease and gingivitis.
• Oral cancer screening – An inclusive oral, head and neck cancer examination can easily be completed in less than five minutes. We aim to catch any abnormalities as a preventative measure.
• Bite analysis – If the top and bottom jaw/teeth of a patient do not match sufficiently with the other, an occlusion is present. Orthodontic work may be necessary to alter the placement of teeth.
• Home care instruction – We only see you once every six months at our office, so it is imperative that you keep up with a solid at home regimen. We will advise you on the best practices.
• Review diet – The food you eat has an effect not only on your body, but also your dental health. We want to make sure you understand the best choices for your mouth.
